MACHINE SERVICES PRICING
If you would like your lumber order 'work-ready' upon delivery or pick-up, then requesting our machine services is the way to go.
Beginning with lumber that has been milled to be straight, square, and of consistent thickness will make a project go much smoother, and will have significant implications on how well a project turns out. Below is listed the machine services we offer.

SURFACE OR FACE JOINTING
This machine service flattens cupped or twisted boards giving you one face dead flat on which to base your cuts. We handle widths up to 35". Face jointing stock will reduce stress on wide stock and is used to eliminate cup and flatten boards before planing. Maximum width 35".

PLANING
42" CAPABILITY
Our planing service can be requested as 'hit or miss' (minimal planing to remove dirt smudges and reduce surface roughness),'finished thickness' (planed to your required finished thickness with smooth surfaces), and 'super smooth' -- a real time saver -- (plane one or both faces to a super smooth surface resulting in minimal finish sanding needed to finalize your project).

RESAWING
If you need thinner stock than 4/4 for your project, then resawing is the way to go. We will resaw to your finished thickness.
Our resawing can also give you bookmatched or sequenced lumber sets adding an esthetically pleasing consistency to your finished project.

This is an often requested machining combination. Our customers find it significantly shortens their project time and reduces the amount of sanding needed.
Denoted as R1E&S2S. This popular combination gives a straight edge for your fence, and smooth faces for your sanding.

CUSTOM MACHINING
All customer lumber & plywood custom machining services are subject to the Shop Foreman's approval prior to maching. Please call ahead to schedule.
We reserve the right to decline custom machining service if there is detection of metal, rocks, or material unsafe to run through our equipment, as well as the presence of powder post beetles or other wood boring beetles.
